Recently I had the opportunity to contribute to the It’s All Comedy: In Theory podcast produced and hosted by Dena Ware and Charlie Spink. Their question was, “Who were the comedy game changers?” Now I don’t have any real comedy bonafides, nor am I a comedy historian, and, let’s face it, I’ve barely got an offhand grasp of the English language. But I do have an opinion. And that, matched with the existence of what I’ve referred to as my “blog” and the courage to type in the face of the unlikely threat of carpal tunnel, compel me to offer my own hastily assembled, sparsely researched, yet rigid and willfully arbitrary , definitive list.
